Scott Stilson
General Manager, Sandstone Aviation
With more than 25 years of experience in aviation quality assurance, auditing, and maintenance management, Scott Stilson is a respected leader in aerospace operations, commercial aviation, and regulatory compliance. As a pilot and aircraft owner, former FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR), and current Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Unit Member, Scott brings deep expertise in FAA regulations, compliance, ISO/AS9100 standards, and safety investigations.
Scott’s career includes leadership roles in quality management, inventory control, and flight safety across major aviation organizations. Known for his high ethical standards and results-driven approach, Scott serves as General Manager of Sandstone Aviation. He oversees the FBO’s day-to-day operations, including line operations, fuel sales, hangar leasing, the maintenance department, new business development, customer retention, customer service, quality control, and environmental and safety compliance—helping maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming facility.

Founded in 2020
Sandstone Aviation began pursuing FBO approval with St. George City in 2020.
Approvals in 2021
Final conceptual FBO approvals were received in December 2021.
Fueling Began in 2022
Fuel-farm work completed in May 2022, followed by fueling operations in June.
